Below you can find some helpful resources that I either learned about or interacted with in class. These resources are beneficial for teachers to either keep students engaged, stay organized, and even assist teachers in educating students.
- My first resource is Google Calendar. Google Calendar is a pretty common resource but it is a great way for teachers to stay organized and on top of things. One aspect that I like about Google Calendar is the ability to share your calendar with others so they can see when you are busy. This would be great for students to know when you are busy or not so they can come by for extra help at a good time.
- The next resource that I really like is Disneys Hour of Code. This is an application made by Disney that introduces students to the concept of coding. It is a great interactive way for students to learn the basics of coding and it is fun for them! They have numerous themes for students to choose from like Wonder Women, Star Wars, and Moana.
- A great way for teachers to assign videos and interactive questions is Ted-Ed. Ted-Ed gives teachers the ability to create custom lessons for students while inspiring them with amazing Ted Talks. In addition, teachers are also able to create their own Ted Talk.
- Another resource for teachers to make classwork interactive is Flipgrid. Flipgird is a free platform where teachers can assign students classwork and they respond in a video format. Teachers have the ability to assign different grids on various topics. It is a great way for students to interact with work like articles.
- The last resource that I would like to share with you is Kahoot. Kahoot is another free resource that allows teachers to create their own online quizzes. It is a fun way to engage students in class content since it is a trivia format. Students are able to connect to their phones to the game while the teacher presents the questions on the board or TV. Students are given about 10 seconds to answer the multiple-choice question on their phones.
